5You can install this hitch!
By Daniel Tinsman
Hitch installation on 2006 Honda Odyssey:

The instructions that came with this hitch said that you would have to remove the exhaust but I found that a simple rope tied to the muffler and a little bit of tension toward the driver's side moved it enough to install this with ease. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRILL OR REMOVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. Once I torqued each bolt to 68 lbs., the job was done. It took 10 minutes. [...] Best price, perfect fit, easy to install.

Happy towing!

4seems pretty snug and tight
By Brian
Honda Odyssey 2012. To start off, this thing is heavy. I was worried about how secure it would be once installed. Bolts are really thick and tough though. And there are 6 of them. 3 on each side. once installed it feels REALLY secure.

I installed it myself on the driveway. didnt have to lift the car or anything. I did have to have one side resting on something about a foot tall to make installation easier though. I used a small cooler i had around.

I didnt have to move or drop the muffler either. As long as you slide it in under the muffler from the back you're good to go. Matter of fact, the muffler even helps hold the thing up while you install the screws to the opposite side!

i attached a 5 bike rack to it.

5Great Deal Poor Packaging
By J. Scott
We recently got a quote from a dealer to install this hitch and was quoted $600 to purchase and install the hitch. I did a little research and found that I could do it it myself in less than an hour. I ordered the hitch from Amazon at a great price. The product was a perfect match for my 2008 Honda Odyssey. I installed it in my driveway in under an hour and didn't even need to detach the tail pipe as some sites suggest. Easiest $437 I have ever saved! My one significant complaint is that the hitch was too heavy for the box in which it was shipped. There was not enough padding or stabilizing packaging in the box (there was none when it arrived) so by the time it reached me, it had bounced around in the box so much it had ripped open the top and must have fallen out as the paint on the hitch was scraped through to the metal in a couple of places.
